THROTTLE

Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 4, 2026

⚠️ Draft — review before going live. Cookie disclosure rules (especially under GDPR/PECR/EU ePrivacy and Quebec Law 25) are jurisdiction-specific. Have an attorney verify the categorization matches your actual data flows.

This Cookie Policy explains how Sparcgen, Inc. (“Sparcgen”, “we”) uses cookies and similar technologies on the Throttle service. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, or to make them work more efficiently, and to provide information to site operators. “Cookies” in this policy also covers similar technologies such as local storage and session storage in the browser.

How we use cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies. We do not use advertising cookies, marketing trackers, or analytics that share data with third parties. Specifically:

Service worker

We register a service worker to enable offline-style caching of static assets (the same JavaScript bundle and stylesheets you would have cached anyway). The service worker does NOT track you, send any data to us, or persist any personal information.

What we do NOT use

If we change this in the future, we will update this policy and request your consent before any non-strictly-necessary cookie is set.

Your choices

Because we use only strictly-necessary cookies, no consent banner is shown by default — these cookies are essential for the Service to work and the law allows them without consent in most jurisdictions.

You can manage or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the throttle_session cookie will prevent you from staying signed in.

To withdraw consent for any cookie at any time:

  1. Sign out of your account (deletes the session cookie)
  2. Clear your browser’s storage for throttlerides.com (deletes local-storage entries)
  3. Block cookies from throttlerides.com in your browser settings

Do Not Track

Most browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Because we don’t track across sites in the first place, our behavior does not change based on the DNT signal — but we respect the underlying intent of those who set it.

Changes

We will update this policy when our cookie usage changes. Material changes will be announced via email to registered users.
